Gama Supermarket & Departmental Store

GAMA had its origin as “Pulau Pinang Supermarket” located at Chowrasta Market along Penang Road, in Penang. GAMA pioneered the concept of a supermarket-cum- department store way back in 1967, which brought a whole new dimension to the Malaysian retail industry. It was a milestone and record acknowledged and recognized with by all in the retail industry.

Today, GAMA shopping centre stands across Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak, which is better known by its acronym as “KOMTAR”, Penang’s tallest building ~ both being prominent landmarks in the heart of George Town.
