Info
Gudang Café is a local café, which is located in the heart of Georgetown serving up Japanese-inspired fare with a Southeast Asian twist. Beans sourced from Ethiopia, Columbia and India. Gudang Cafe has been awarded the PAM 2018 ( Premier Award for Architecture in Malaysia) . "Gudang" means warehouse in Malay, is believed to have been used for storing wood in the 1950s - 1970s. Presumably completed in 1950, as is embossed above the front door, the building looks to be of colonial design. Upon entering, one will surely not miss the unique 45 foot long table, which the Cafe claims to be the second longest in Penang Island.
